Overview
As an Experienced Landscape Planner, you will lead and deliver landscape planning projects across sectors, shaping environmental and planning outcomes. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to produce LVIA, character, and impact assessments while advising on mitigation and enhancements. You’ll build strong client relationships, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the growth of the landscape planning discipline. This role offers exposure to high-profile projects and clear career progression in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver landscape planning projects across sectors
- Prepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)
- Produce Landscape Character Assessments, Townscape Assessments and Landscape Capacity & Sensitivity Studies
- Develop mitigation and landscape enhancement strategies
- Provide planning and environmental advice throughout the project lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Collaborate with landscape architects, planners and environmental specialists
- Contribute to business development and team growth
Key requirements
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience within landscape planning (10+ years desirable)
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Proven experience producing LVIAs
- Excellent technical report writing and analytical skills
- Experience managing projects and working directly with clients
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Full UK driving licence
