Overview
In this role, you will drive economic analysis and advisory work in energy, utilities, and infrastructure, supporting policy design, market liberalisation, and regulatory reviews. You’ll lead project delivery, collaborate with in-house and academic experts, and develop client-ready insights and reports. The role offers exposure to high-stakes regulatory, advisory, and dispute work across a global energy landscape. You will shape analyses that inform clients’ strategic and policy decisions in a dynamic sector.

Responsibilities
- Lead projects on energy policy, utility regulation, market design, and related transactions and disputes
- Own project delivery including regulatory, advisory, and due-diligence assignments and expert engagements
- Manage and perform advanced economic research using sophisticated modelling
- Prepare research reports and client presentations to support decision-making
- Influence project strategy through written and oral submissions
- Collaborate with internal experts and external academics
- Contribute to business development: scoping projects, writing proposals, managing timelines and budgets, and producing papers/articles/books
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and oversee staff recruitment
Key requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Economics, Finance or related field with strong academics
- ≥6 years in economic consulting, government, or regulatory settings
- Experience writing consulting or expert reports for legal proceedings
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset for client development
- English fluency; other languages desirable
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to solve analytical problems with creative and technical insights
