Staff Technical Lead Manager

Overview

As Technical Lead and People Manager for the Identity Engine team, you will steer LiveRamp’s first-party identity resolution platform. You’ll guide backend work that configures and runs large-scale, rule-based identity workflows across cloud environments, enabling clients to build a first-party identity graph quickly. You’ll balance hands-on architecture with team leadership, shaping the product roadmap and ensuring high-quality delivery at scale. This role offers impact through enterprise-scale data collaboration and evolving identity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Identity Engine aligned with product goals
• Lead engineers to foster technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Oversee data preparation, resolution, and export workflows ensuring quality at scale
• Resolve cross-team issues and maintain accountability for dependencies
• Contribute to 12-month product planning and strategic prioritization
• Serve as primary technical liaison to Product Management for feasibility and alignment
• Identify, develop, and hire key engineering capabilities
• Maintain a substantial IC contribution (~50%) focusing on architecture and code quality reviews

Key requirements

• 2+ years of demonstrated leadership delivering products as technical lead
• 8+ years hands-on development experience, preferably in Java or JVM languages
• Proven track record of complex designs, APIs/interfaces, and architecture improvements
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to talent development at Staff level or above
• Strong communication skills and ability to share information clearly
