High Net Worth Underwriter

Overview

In this role, you will implement VitalityLife’s HNW underwriting proposition, delivering market-leading underwriting delivery and excellence. You’ll work with brokers, advisers, and reinsurers to ensure smooth case progression and credible risk placement. You’ll educate sales teams and mentor junior underwriters, shaping a high-performing underwriting function. This is a chance to influence a developing HNW proposition and impact client outcomes on a large, strategic scale.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex HNW cases to high financial and medical standards, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Partner with brokers and advisers to guide large cases through underwriting with clarity and confidence.
• Collaborate with reinsurers to place business and maintain robust professional relationships.
• Work with sales to tailor financial underwriting solutions for key clients.
• Educate and upskill internal sales teams on the HNW process for consistency and effective case management.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team.
• Identify opportunities to evolve the HNW underwriting proposition and drive market-leading offerings.

Key requirements

• Extensive experience underwriting large or complex HNW cases with strong financial and medical underwriting knowledge.
• Credible relationship-building with advisers, brokers, and reinsurers.
