Overview

As Test Automation Manager at Accenture, you lead quality engineering strategy and mentor teams while staying hands-on with testing and coding. You partner with clients to define modern automation approaches and reduce complexity, delivering value through scalable test automation. You influence cross-functional teams and contribute to internal quality communities. This role offers exposure to diverse domains, AI-enabled tooling, and cloud testing in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement modern Quality Engineering concepts including automated testing
• Lead and grow a team of quality engineers
• Remain hands-on with coding and testing while shaping strategy
• Advocate value-driven engineering and low-complexity solutions
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams across diverse domains
• Contribute to internal Quality Engineering communities and knowledge sharing
• Work in cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and leverage AI-assisted coding tools

Key requirements

• Several years of team leadership experience
• Hands-on testing and coding experience
• Proficiency in at least one OO language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, etc)
• Experience with GenAI tools (Playwright with MCP) and AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude)
• Knowledge of LangChain or LangGraph preferred
• Experience testing in cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
• Collaborative, flexible, egoless team player
• Willingness to travel/onsite client work in the UK
