Overview

In this role you will design and build mission-critical software for embedded platforms, working closely with end-users on-site. You will apply low-level hardware interfacing, develop in Python and C++, and contribute to cross-functional teams delivering robust tools in demanding environments. You’ll gain real-world impact by solving operational problems at customer sites and documenting your work for long-term reliability. Responsibilities

  • Develop bespoke software on embedded platforms (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, ARM)
  • Write/maintain code in Python and/or C++, interfacing with hardware
  • Work with communication protocols to integrate peripherals
  • Test and debug in lab and at customer sites
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and implement features
  • Support system integration and deployment of hardware/software stacks
  • Engage with users to understand operational needs and adapt solutions
  • Contribute to technical documentation and Git workflows
  • Mentor less-experienced developers and share knowledge

Key requirements

  • Hands-on software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python
  • Experience coding for embedded systems (ESP32, ARM Cortex boards)
  • Familiarity with hardware interfacing (serial, GPIO, USB, SPI/I2C)
  • Comfort in Linux development environments
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to new hardware/tools/use cases
  • Familiarity with unit testing, debugging tools, and Git workflows
