Overview
In this role you will support structuring new transactions and managing a portfolio of credit exposures across greenfield and brownfield projects in energy, infrastructure, and transportation. You’ll collaborate with senior team members and partners across Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and Markets to assess risks and design capital structures. You’ll build financial models to reflect forward-looking risk and contribute to credit memorandums and approvals. The work combines rigorous analysis with practical structuring in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Interface with business teams to develop due diligence questions from contracts, forecasts, budgets, and reports
- Analyze risks and propose loan and derivative structures to protect firm interests in structured transactions
- Build and maintain financial models incorporating forward-looking risk on key drivers
- Support transaction execution by evaluating finance and commercial contracts and suggesting capital structures and risk ratings
- Prepare credit memorandums and support credit approval and booking processes
- Perform portfolio management tasks including credit reviews, amendment/waiver analysis, monitoring limits and ratings, and drafting documentation revisions
- Stay updated on client industry trends, portfolio performance, covenants, risks, and opportunities
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in financial services or consulting
- Strong financial modeling skills and ability to analyze capital structure, profitability, and cash flow
- Understanding of credit risk management and front-office processes
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Commercial acumen with ability to balance risks and opportunities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
