Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will lead the commercial management of a major high-rise residential scheme in Cardiff, ensuring strong procurement, cost control and cashflow. You will collaborate with clients and supply chain partners to deliver high-quality affordable homes that transform communities. You’ll mentor junior commercial staff and drive proactive risk management and variations. This is a hands-on position at a developer-contractor shaping a significant regeneration project with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontract procurement, payments and commercial performance
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and procurement updates
• Agree valuations and maintain positive project cashflow
• Manage contractual notices, variations and risk
• Support and develop junior commercial team members
• Build strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners

Key requirements

• Quantity Surveying experience within residential or main contracting
• Experience delivering large-scale residential projects
• Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach and a passion for delivering successful projects
