As a Supervising/Managing Associate in our Bristol funds finance team, you will lead on a broad range of fund finance transactions for lenders, sponsors and borrowers. You will work closely with partners, supervise junior lawyers, and help shape the practice’s growth and client relationships. The role combines technical execution with leadership, from drafting and structuring to managing complex facilities. You will contribute to business development and help drive the next phase of the firm’s funds finance strategy. Responsibilities
- Advise on a range of fund finance transactions (capital call, NAV, hybrid, GP/management fee, co-invest, continuation vehicle financings, bespoke structures)
- Manage transactions and supervise junior lawyers from start to finish
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships with lenders, sponsors and borrowers
- Contribute to business development and growth initiatives
- Collaborate with partners and senior colleagues to shape strategic direction of the practice
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE in fund finance
- Experience acting for lenders and/or sponsors/borrowers
- Strong understanding of fund structures and partnership documentation
- Excellent drafting, technical and transactional management skills
- Confidence running matters with appropriate supervision
- Strong client relationship skills and commercial awareness
- Demonstrated interest in business development and practice growth
- Experience supervising junior lawyers (advantageous)
