Operations Manager / Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care

Location: OrpingtonSalary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE + Performance BonusType: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager / Registered Manager to take operational responsibility for an established domiciliary care service in Orpington.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can confidently oversee the day-to-day running of the service while taking responsibility for CQC registration, compliance, quality and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the operational running of the service.

  • Lead and develop the care and office teams.

  • Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and legislation.

  • Manage rotas, staffing levels and service delivery.

  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, audits and quality assurance.

  • Manage safeguarding, incidents, complaints and investigations.

  • Lead recruitment, supervision, training and performance management.

  • Build strong relationships with service users, families and professionals.

  • Monitor operational and financial performance.

  • Drive service improvement, efficiency and growth.

  • Prepare and maintain the service for CQC inspection.

  • Act as the registered person for the service and provide strong leadership across the operation.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven management experience within domiciliary/home care.

  • Strong understanding of CQC and adult social care regulations.

  • Experience managing teams, compliance and operational performance.

  • Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.

  • Strong commercial and operational awareness.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership.
