Location: This post is based at Link’s Falkirk office. However, hybrid working is available with this role.

Link is looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor (HR Advisor). The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for the provision of a professional, timely and accurate range of HR services and advisory support to employees, workers and managers in line with policy, procedure and budgets. The HR Advisor will provide appropriate services which meet legislation, corporate governance, best practice standards and the needs of the business. The primary purpose is to ensure fair, consistent, and timely application of HR policies and compliance with employment law, while promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
The HR Advisor’s accountabilities will focus on supporting managers manage day-to-day people governance processes (seeking input from Link’s employment practices insurance legal support provider for any high-risk cases which may result in employment tribunal proceeding) in key areas such as; sickness absence management, employee relations investigations and disciplinary procedures, flexible working requests, and the administration of job evaluation processes
About You
You will have a Professional or post graduate qualification in a relevant subject (or be working towards one), be Associate Level CIPD Qualified (or working towards it) and have experience of delivering HR services across a variety of disciplines, including formal employee relations (sickness absence management, investigations, conduct, performance and capability) issues, organisational change, best practice recruitment and selection, HR processes including the full employee “life-cycle” in addition to employment law and its application to equalities, recruitment, contracts of employment and employee relations.
The successful candidate will have strong IT skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), web enabled IT tools and experience of using an HR Information System to input, report and analyse data.
You will have demonstrable experience of successfully managing a range of competing priorities and deadlines, be a strong team player with proven resilience, problem solving, written and verbal communication and influencing skills and creativity/innovation combined with high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to forward plan, minimising and resolving risks and issues.
You will have sound understanding of GDPR legislation and its application throughout the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, recruitment and selection processes. A high degree of integrity, professionalism and discretion is essential in this role.
A current full driving licence and access to a car (or the ability to travel across multiple sites and locations) is essential to meet the travel requirements of the role.
