Salary: Between £40,000–£45,000 gross per annum

About the Role
This is a varied position combining high-quality housekeeping with companionship, driving, dog care and general day-to-day support for the Principal. It would suit someone who is naturally caring and organised, takes pride in maintaining a home to a high standard and genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs.
Main Responsibilities
The main focus of the role will be maintaining the Principal’s home to a high standard, taking care of the day-to-day housekeeping, laundry and ironing, and keeping the household organised and running smoothly. There is also a second property on the estate which is not used full-time and will require housekeeping when needed. Quarterly deep cleans will cover both properties as well as additional areas on the estate, including the pool house and estate office.
Alongside the housekeeping, you’ll prepare meals for the Principal and help with the general organisation of the household. This will include keeping on top of household supplies, errands and the organisation of the Principal’s medicines.
Driving is an important part of the position. You’ll regularly drive the Principal to appointments and engagements in London, as well as assisting with local journeys and errands, so we’re looking for someone who is a confident and comfortable driver both locally and in London.
The role also offers a companionship element, providing a dependable presence for the Principal and helping with practical day-to-day needs. The Principal has a much-loved dog, and you’ll take an active role in their care, including regular walks, feeding and trips to the vet when required.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a private household or similar position would be beneficial.
- A confident driver with a full UK driving licence.
- Naturally caring and comfortable providing companionship and practical support.
- Good housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A genuine dog lover who is happy to take an active role in walking and caring for the dog.
