Year 2 Teacher – Stevenage
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £34,069 – £46,940 per annum (Main Pay Scale, depending on experience)
Year Group: Year 2 / KS1
Choice Teachers are currently recruiting for a Year 2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Stevenage from after the October half-term break.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic primary teacher who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about creating a positive, engaging classroom environment.
The Role
- Teach a Year 2 class across the full primary curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where appropriate.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2.
- Has a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
- Is confident with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and parents.
