Are you an experienced people manager with a passion for developing teams, coordinating training programmes, and driving operational excellence?
We are looking for a Training Manager to lead and support a busy Training Team within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing people management, planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance oversight while ensuring training programmes run smoothly and effectively. Based in Bolton, the role offers a hybrid working pattern with 2-3 days per week on site.
As Training Manager, you will take ownership of the operational delivery and coordination of training across the business. You will manage and support a team of Trainers, ensuring training programmes are effectively planned, communicated, delivered, and tracked.
Working closely with Operational, Onboarding, Quality, and Scheduling teams, you will ensure new starters and existing staff receive the support they need to succeed while maintaining accurate records and monitoring training performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Training Team.
- Manage performance, conduct regular 1-1s, appraisals, and ongoing coaching.
- Coordinate all stages of training programmes and communicate requirements with key stakeholders.
- Track trainer and learner progress, ensuring training milestones are achieved.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training delivery and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain training records, compliance documentation, and performance data.
- Ensure training schedules, reductions, and operational requirements are planned effectively.
- Act as the main point of contact for training-related queries.
- Build strong relationships across Training, Onboarding, Scheduling, and Operational teams.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and raise concerns where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous people management or team leadership experience.
- Strong operational coordination and planning skills.
- Experience organising, tracking, and monitoring training activity.
- Ability to analyse performance data and ensure training objectives are achieved.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
