Speech and Language Job Description

• Speciality -Speech & Language Therapist
• Location -North West London
• Start date -ASAP
• Contract Length -Ongoing
• Pay Rates -£40-50 per hour
• Band 6
• We are looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to support a new school-based SEND programme across 3-4 schools in North West London.
• This is a highly flexible locum opportunity and could work particularly well alongside an existing NHS, school or private role. Hours can be arranged around the therapist’s availability.

The Role

• Speech, language and communication assessments
• Individual and targeted intervention
• Supporting children and young people with ASD and complex needs
• Mixed SEND caseload
• Developing appropriate therapy strategies and recommendations
• Liaising with school staff, families and other professionals
• Working across a small number of North West London schools

Requirements

• 1 year(s) post graduate experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work
• DBS or Police Check
• HCPC Registered
• HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist
• Paediatric, SEND, school or community experience
• Experience with ASD and complex presentations desirable
• Able to work autonomously within education settings
