Apply for the Account Manager
Location: London
Job Description:

Key Account Manager | Paediatric Specialty Pharma

Territories: East of England (including London)

Reporting to: Country Manager, UK & Ireland

Contract: Permanent, full-time, field-based

About the company

Our client is a specialist pharmaceutical company focused entirely on medicines for children. It develops and commercialises paediatric formulations in areas where children have historically been underserved. The UK business currently markets two niche hospital products in paediatric neurology and cardiology, with three new launches in the pipeline.

The role

Our client is hiring two Key Account Managers to own and grow hospital business across their territories. It’s a rare chance to join a small, mission-driven company at a point of real growth, and to play a direct part in three upcoming launches rather than maintaining a mature portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver territory business plans to grow sales of the company’s paediatric neurology and cardiology products across NHS and private hospitals.
  • Build strong relationships with consultant paediatricians, specialist nurses, hospital pharmacists and other key stakeholders in paediatric care pathways.
  • Navigate hospital formulary processes to secure product access and uptake.
  • Identify and develop key accounts and local advocates ahead of the new product launches.
  • Work closely with the Country Manager and head office teams on launch planning, market insight and customer feedback.
  • Operate in full compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in hospital-based pharmaceutical or specialty sales, ideally with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
  • A strong understanding of NHS structures, formulary processes and hospital decision-making.
  • Experience in paediatrics, neurology, cardiology or rare/specialty medicines is a strong advantage but not essential.
  • Launch experience is highly desirable.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously in a small, agile business.
  • ABPI qualified (or working towards it) and a full UK driving licence.
  • Based within or close to the relevant territory.

Why apply?

  • Join a purpose-led business improving medicines for children.
  • Visibility and influence you won’t get at a large pharma company.
  • Three new launches to drive, with real scope to shape the territory.
