UK Procurement Manager

Private Equity Backed | International Business Services

Salary: Up to £70K + Package

Location: Central London (2-3 days p/w in office)

Own your categories. Influence the business. Help shape procurement’s next chapter.

Looking for a role where you can deliver commercial results while helping a procurement function grow its influence?

A private equity backed international business services organisation is seeking a UK Procurement Manager to support its evolving procurement capability. With recent acquisitions creating opportunities to consolidate spend and unlock supplier synergies, this is a chance to contribute directly to a broader value creation agenda.

The business is moving towards a more strategic, globally connected procurement approach-developing supplier partnerships, strengthening category management and using its international buying power to deliver greater value.

The role:

Reporting to the UK & Ireland Head of Procurement, you’ll take ownership of selected indirect categories and lead sourcing projects from initial stakeholder engagement through to negotiation, contract award and supplier management.

Your portfolio could span IT, Professional Services, Business Process Outsourcing, Facilities and HR Services, providing variety across suppliers, stakeholders and commercial challenges.

You’ll also support the Head of Procurement in the overall management of the Procurement and Business Services team, helping strengthen stakeholder engagement and embed procurement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering commercial value: lead end-to-end tenders and negotiations, driving savings, cost avoidance and contract improvements.

Owning category delivery: develop category plans aligned with regional and global priorities, identifying opportunities to combine demand.

Building supplier partnerships: manage performance, renewals and commercial relationships while addressing supplier risk.

Influencing stakeholders: work closely with Finance, Operations, IT and HR, challenging requirements and providing practical commercial advice.

Supporting client requirements: help develop procurement solutions that deliver compliant, value-for-money contracts.

Improving the function: strengthen processes, tools and reporting as procurement continues to mature.

What you’ll bring:

You’ll have at least five years’ procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with a strong grounding in indirect categories and a track record of delivering savings and managing suppliers.

Experience in a services or outsourcing environment would be particularly relevant, while exposure to an international or matrix organisation would be advantageous.

Above all, you’ll be commercially sharp, pragmatic and hands-on-comfortable managing multiple priorities, influencing without authority and turning analysis into action.

This opportunity combines broad category exposure with the chance to help build a more strategic procurement function within a PE backed business. You’ll contribute to UK delivery, connect with global procurement priorities and develop your experience alongside the Head of Procurement.
