Hamina, Finland | Data Centres / Construction | Major European Project

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading construction contractor on the appointment of an experienced Site Manager for a major project based in Hamina, Finland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business delivering complex, large-scale construction projects across Europe, with a strong focus on quality, safety and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site management team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of designated sections of a major construction project.

You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors and resources, and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day construction activities across designated project areas, ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Lead site health, safety, environmental and quality standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and project procedures.
  • Oversee subcontractors, site personnel and multiple work fronts, maintaining productivity and effective sequencing of works.
  • Coordinate site logistics, materials, plant and resources to support efficient project delivery.
  • Work closely with project management teams to monitor progress, resolve operational challenges and achieve key milestones.
  • Oversee quality inspections, snagging and handover activities, ensuring works meet the required project specifications.

Candidate Profile

We are interested in speaking with experienced Site Managers or Construction Managers with a strong background in large-scale construction projects.

You will ideally have:

  • 7+ years’ experience in site management within the construction industry.
  • Experience delivering commercial, industrial, residential, fit-out or refurbishment projects.
  • Previous experience within data centre construction would be particularly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, HSEQ systems and quality management.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, site teams and multiple work fronts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work on European-based construction projects.
