Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in drylining and partition systems who is looking to develop their career within a specialist and technically focused sector.

Your new role As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a range of drylining and partitioning projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the commercial aspects of drylining, partitioning and ceiling packages.
  • Preparing and submitting valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Procuring subcontractors, materials and specialist suppliers.
  • Monitoring project costs, cash flow and financial performance.
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
  • Producing accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

What you’ll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience within drylining, partitioning, ceilings or interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial management within specialist subcontracting environments.
  • Experience managing variations and negotiating final accounts.
  • Excellent contractual and financial awareness.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
