We handle bookkeeping, VAT, PAYE, CIS, limited company accounts, corporation tax, self assessment, tax planning and monthly management reporting. The Role

Your role would be to enable the delivery of projects, reporting to the Senior Accountant & Directors, and to support the development of the business successfully.
Key Duties:
- Deliveryofawiderangeofprojectandclienttypesfromsoletraders/partnershipsto Limited Companies;
- Deliveryofawiderangeofhigh-qualityaccountancyservicesincluding:
- Statutoryaccountsforprivatelimitedcompanies
- Year-endaccountsforsoletradersandpartnerships
- Corporateandpersonaltaxreturnsandcalculations
- Complexbookkeeping,includingbankreconciliationsandaccounts payable/receivable;
- Reviewworkforjuniorstaff;
- Preparation&ReviewofMTDITSASubmissions;
- Preparation&SubmissionofVATreturns;
- Managementaccountsandperformancereportingforalltypesofbusinesses;
- Financialandbusinessanalysisforalltypesofbusinesses;
- Arangeofadministrationtasksassociatedwithanoperationalroleinanaccountancyand consultancy practice;
- Developanunderstandingofourclient’sandtheirbusinesses;
- Becomefamiliarwithallouraccountingandtaxsoftware;
- Professionalcommunicationand(self)management-yourabilitytoworkaspartofateam is essential to your role at every level;
Keep senior staff fully informed of any issues and problems, ensure work is completed to a level agreed with and record clearly and concisely work done.
About you
Essential
Qualified accountant (CAI, ACCA or ICAEW) or equivalent
- Experienceinanaccountancypracticeenvironment
Confident preparing year end accounts and tax returns for small businesses and individuals
- ConfidentpreparingandreviewingVATreturnsandhandlingbookkeepingtotrialbalance
- Comfortablewithpracticemanagementsoftwareandcloudaccountingplatforms
- Genuinelyorganised,withatrackrecordofrunningprocessesratherthanjustworkingwithin them
Willing and able to chase clients in a professional manner to ensure deadlines are met
Clear communicator, in writing and on the phone, with clients and colleagues
Desirable
- ExperiencewithClientEngageroracomparablepracticemanagementsystem
- XeroCertificationorexperienceusingthesystem
AI System experience
- Experienceimprovingorimplementinginternalsystemsandworkflowsinapractice
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
