We work with 300+ of the most ambitious PE-backed CEOs, CFOs and CPOs in the UK.
They are operating in what we call “the business olympics.” Their standards are high. Their time is precious. Their willingness to engage depends entirely on whether we’re meeting them at the right moment with the right offer.
Right now, we’re generating more qualified leads than we can convert. Marketing is filling the funnel. But somewhere between “interested” and “member” is where the real work happens. That’s where precision matters. You’re not scaling volume. You’re converting intention into action at the exact right moment.
What does that actually mean?
It means spotting when circumstances create genuine readiness:
- New role, steep learning curve. Promoted into something they’ve never done before. First time under PE. That’s a 100-day window when they’re searching for proof.
- A visible problem. The investor asked a question they couldn’t answer. Now they’re actively seeking peers who’ve faced the same thing.
- Team building pressure. Recruiting a CFO. Building operations. These create openness. A struggling CEO is a receptive CEO.
- Financial headroom closing. Debt covenants tightening. EBITDA targets at risk. Tomorrow’s problem becomes today’s urgency.
- Structural change. Revised hold period. Accelerated exit. New investor. These always create need.
Your job is to recognise these moments, often before the prospect does, and position membership as the answer waiting.
What you will do?
- Convert qualified leads into Members. Pick up prospects who’ve shown interest and take them to close. Run discovery conversations that establish fit, trial events that feel relevant, closing conversations that feel natural rather than transactional.
- Build and maintain momentum. A prospect isn’t ready now? You stay in touch. They see relevant content. Six months later something shifts and they remember you. That’s timing.
- Fill events with intention. Invite the right people to the right events. Prep them beforehand. Ensure their first experience confirms why they came.
- Own the pipeline. Know every contact at every stage. Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to spot moves and new appointments. Reach out at moments that matter, not when it’s convenient. Enable cross-sell when Members develop new needs.
Who are you?
You’ve sold something complex to time-pressed people. You know the difference between polite interest and genuine readiness. You listen for the thing beneath the thing they’re saying.
You’re precise with your pipeline. You follow up relentlessly but never desperately. You know that consistency matters more than intensity.
You understand private equity. You’ve worked in it, advised to it, or served PE-backed businesses. You speak the language and you understand the rhythm of a deal cycle.
You’re ambitious about building relationships, not just hitting activity targets. You want to be genuinely known in the UK PE community.
You’re comfortable with data. CRM isn’t a burden, it’s how you stay organised and spot patterns before they become obvious.
The reality
This is results-driven. You will convert prospects into Members. You will fill events. You will maintain a disciplined pipeline. Commission is substantial and it’s tied directly to what you bring in.
Growth is 30-40% year-on-year. That creates both opportunity and chaos. Systems aren’t yet perfect. You’ll help build them as we grow. You’ll have real autonomy to shape how sales works.
This role is unfinished, you’ll shape what it becomes. .
