Senior Contractor – Pensions Administration Systems Developer
Multiple locations | Remote working | Excellent | Posted yesterday
This is a hands‑on contract opportunity for an experienced developer who can work independently, engage with stakeholders, and deliver high‑quality technical solutions in a complex Defined Benefit pensions environment.
The Role
- Integrate a third‑party calculation engine with oPen and/or IntelliPen
- Develop XML interfaces and XSLT transformations
- Enhance calculation posting routines and administration functionality
- Modify screens and user interfaces to support new calculation outputs
- Work closely with business users, technical teams and external suppliers
- Support testing, implementation and technical documentation

About You
- Proven development experience with oPen and/or IntelliPen
- Strong skills in XML, XSLT, SQL Server and Stored Procedures
- Solid Defined Benefit pensions knowledge
- Understanding of GMP Equalisation (GMPE) and pension calculations
- Experience delivering complex systems integrations and enhancements
- Able to work autonomously and contribute from day one
