Data Governance Consultant – BCBS 239

SR2 Consulting has an engagement with a large UK banking group focused on automating controls that support risk data aggregation and risk reporting under BCBS 239.

We’re interested in speaking with practitioners from manager through to director or senior adviser level. The opportunity is at an early stage.

The potential work

Depending on the agreed scope, you could support:

• Assessing existing risk data controls and identifying opportunities for automation.
• Translating BCBS 239 requirements into practical controls, monitoring and evidence.
• Reviewing data governance, data quality, lineage and aggregation processes.
• Developing approaches to automated control testing, exception reporting and control analytics.
• Working with data, risk, controls and technology stakeholders to shape an achievable delivery approach.

The experience we’re looking for

We welcome complementary specialists across one or more of these areas:

• BCBS 239 subject matter expertise gained within a bank or through hands‑on advisory work.
• Data governance, data quality or risk data aggregation.
• Controls automation, monitoring, automated testing or control analytics.

You should be comfortable connecting requirements to how controls operate in practice, working with senior stakeholders and producing clear, actionable recommendations.
