Company: Into Design Systems
Apply for the Senior Product Designer – AI Products
Location: London
Job Description:

Partly is building a global platform for replacement parts, starting with auto parts, with a mission to eliminate waste and make replacement parts searchable and available. They are hiring a senior design role to own the design system and lead design for AI, agentic and generative experiences across their product family. The role is based in one of the company’s offices in Auckland or Christchurch (New Zealand), London (UK), or Austin, Texas (US).

What you’ll do

  • Own the design system used by engineers and coding agents, including components, patterns, rules and guidance.
  • Shape and ship patterns for agentic and generative experiences, using natural language where appropriate and generated UI for dense data.
  • Define how the product behaves when it’s uncertain, including when agents act, propose or ask, how they show their work and how people correct them.
  • Give the product its character by defining agent tone and personality across surfaces.
  • Hold the bar across every product by fixing inconsistencies in the system and measuring adoption and quality.
  • Build and test working prototypes with AI tools inside the design system on real data and with repairers and suppliers.
  • Pair directly with Product Engineers and their teams to polish details and review the UI produced by coding agents.
  • Spend time with customers in workshops, on the phone and in-product research alongside Product Leads.

What they’re looking for

  • Senior experience, evidenced: trusted to run a project end to end and able to point to the user behaviour that changed because of it; typically 5+ years designing complex software; the evidence matters more than the years.
  • Incredible judgement and hands-on experience with AI surfaces and experiences; lead with design (problem framing, systems thinking, interaction and craft) and make working prototypes inside the design system.
  • Experience designing agentic experiences and able to show the work; shipped at work or built seriously on your own time and made real calls on what an agent does, proposes or asks and which of those calls were wrong.
  • Systems thinking: contributed to or built a design system that engineers reached for without being told to, and have a view on what a system needs to be when its heaviest user is a coding agent.
  • Craft that holds up in production. Real states, real edge cases, real data. Deep fluency in interaction design, copy that carries its weight, and the visual taste to make a dense, tec
