Mechanical Project Manager in Edinburgh

Arc Potential is working with an established contractor looking to strengthen its project delivery team with an experienced Mechanical Project Manager from a mechanical, M&E or main contractor background.

The role will oversee projects across Central Scotland and offers the chance to join a business with a strong pipeline of upcoming work, along with scope to develop as the company continues to grow.

The Role

You will manage mechanical projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.

• Manage mechanical projects through delivery and handover
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and plant
• Keep programmes on track and resolve issues as they arise
• Monitor project costs and commercial performance
• Review drawings, specifications and technical requirements
• Maintain clear communication with clients, site teams and project stakeholders
• Oversee quality, health and safety, testing and commissioning
• Manage project documentation, closeout and final handover

About You

• You will be an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a proven background delivering similar commercial or industrial mechanical projects.
• Experience within a mechanical contractor, M&E contractor or main contractor environment is important, along with the ability to take ownership of projects and manage delivery from site through to completion.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services systems
• Confidence leading site teams and managing subcontractors
• Good commercial awareness, including project costs and budgets
• Strong organisation, planning and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across live projects
• A mechanical trade background, HNC or HND would be beneficial
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
