Join a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure business and play a key role in the commercial success of major projects.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor with 40+ years of industry experience and a strong pipeline of long-term infrastructure work across water, transport, energy and the built environment.
The Role
You’ll take a lead role in managing the commercial performance of projects, working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project costs, forecasts, cash flow and monthly CVRs
- Leading subcontract procurement, negotiation and account management
- Managing applications for payment through to final account
- Managing NEC and IChemE contracts
- Identifying commercial opportunities and managing riskProviding commercial advice to project and site teams
- Building strong client and supply chain relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
About You
You’ll have:
- Previous construction/civil engineering experience
- Strong commercial management and subcontract procurement experience
- Experience with NEC and/or IChemE contracts
- Knowledge of construction law
- Experience with forecasting, cost analysis and CVRs
- Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management
- RICS membership/working towards, a relevant HND/degree and CSCS are desirable.
