Sous Chef

Revolutionary Restaurants has been growing since 2014, with a varied portfolio of restaurants and cafés across Northern Ireland. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen, delivering consistently high-quality food and maintaining excellent operational standards.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will help oversee food production, support and develop the team, and ensure that every service meets our standards for quality, consistency and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food preparation and cooking to maintain quality and consistency across the menu.
- Support the Head Chef with kitchen operations and help lead the team through busy services.
- Encourage teamwork, maintain morale and help create a positive working environment.
- Monitor food safety and ensure that safe food-handling and hygiene procedures are followed.
- Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, stock control and inventory management.
- Train and support junior team members in cooking techniques, food preparation and service standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-equipped kitchen.
- Work closely with front-of-house colleagues to support smooth and timely service.
Skills and Experience
- Previous supervisory experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills and a good understanding of food production and kitchen operations.
- The ability to lead, motivate and support a kitchen team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practice.
- A commitment to high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
- The ability to stay organised and focused under pressure.
- A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
