Role: Business Development Executive – Accountancy Training
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days office based, 3 days working from home
Salary: £35k – £40k basic salary (depending on experience) + uncapped commission
We’re looking for a Business Development Executiveto grow our accountancy training and apprenticeship offering through new business development and strong employer relationships.
This is a varied sales role with a strong focus on winning new business. You’ll research potential customers, identify decision-makers and develop your own approach to creating opportunities, alongside managing existing accounts and responding to inbound enquiries.
You don’t need previous accountancy or apprenticeship experience. We’re looking for someone with strong B2B sales skills who can demonstrate how they’ve created and converted new opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Generate and develop new B2B opportunities
- Research markets, prospective customers and decision-makers
- Manage opportunities through the full sales process
- Build relationships with existing customers and identify growth opportunities
- Follow up and convert inbound enquiries
- Use phone, email, social media, networking and meetings to engage customers
- Work with marketing on targeted lead-generation activity
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM records
What we’re looking for
- Experience generating new business and achieving sales targets
- Confidence engaging and influencing decision-makers
- A consultative, relationship-led sales approach
- Initiative and the ability to develop your own prospecting approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in apprenticeships, learning and development, professional training or employer engagement
- Knowledge of the accountancy training market
