We have an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join a specialist healthcare service. This permanent position is based in a custody healthcare setting, with a clear 4-on, 4-off rota pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off), ensuring excellent work-life balance.

The role is available to start as soon as possible, but can accommodate notice periods The position offers a competitive salary of £42,527 plus a welcome bonus and opportunity to earn overtime.

Your key responsibilities will be

• Conducting forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods)
• Providing care for detainees with acute medical needs
• Delivering substance misuse therapies
• Offering support to break re-offending patterns
• Managing vulnerabilities and conducting referrals
• Promoting good personal healthcare
• Working with mental health teams to support detainees’ needs

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has

• Qualified NMC nurse with 3+ years’ post-qualification experience
• Acute medical healthcare experience
• Experience in A&E, walk-in centres, community nursing, or related roles
• You must be a car driver, in order to as required cover other local police custodies
