A high-performing secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of its HR function.
Previous experience working within a school is essential, with a strong understanding of education HR, safer recruitment and school employment procedures.
The Role
Managing the school’s HR function
Leading recruitment and onboarding
Managing employee records and contracts
Overseeing DBS and safer recruitment checks
Maintaining the Single Central Record
Advising managers and staff on HR matters
Supporting absence and performance management
Managing employee relations
Maintaining HR policies and procedures
Working closely with the senior leadership team
About You
You’ll need strong HR knowledge, excellent organisation skills and the confidence to deal with confidential and sometimes sensitive employee matters.
CIPD Level 5 or above would be advantageous, alongside experience using HR systems and managing safer recruitment within a school environment.
