Head Chef

The Barracks Inn is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining consistency, quality, and traditional cooking standards expected by our customers., The Head Chef will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the kitchen, including:

• planning and developing menus;
• maintaining authentic Indian and Nepalese food-production standards;
• supervising preparation and cooking;
• allocating duties to kitchen employees;
• maintaining consistency and portion control;
• supervising food quality;
• monitoring stock levels;
• ordering ingredients and supplies;
• supervising and training kitchen employees;
• managing food hygiene procedures;
• ensuring compliance with food-safety requirements;
• reducing wastage and controlling kitchen costs;
• maintaining appropriate kitchen records; and
• ensuring efficient delivery of the restaurant’s food offering.
