Senior Support Worker – Complex Care (Exeter)
Full Time – 36 Hours per Week
£16.00 per hour | £29,952 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join an exciting new team supporting a young lady in her own home in Exeter.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a specialist environment. This position combines hands-on care delivery with leadership and administrative responsibilities, ensuring safe, effective and responsive care at all times.
Working Pattern
- 2 x care shifts per week (hands-on support)
- 1 x admin shift per week (care coordination and leadership duties)
- Total: 36 hours per week
- Must be available to work every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
Care Delivery
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to complex needs
- Support the individual to maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing
- Follow and implement detailed care plans and risk assessments
Leadership & Team Support
- Lead and support a small team delivering care to a specific individual
- Provide guidance, direction and oversight during shifts
- Ensure consistency and high standards of care delivery
Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure care plans are accurate, up to date and reflective of current needs
- Maintain clear, timely and accurate documentation
- Ensure staff have relevant, up-to-date information to deliver safe care
- Act as a key communication link between care staff and management
Requirements – Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in complex care settings
- Experience leading or supervising a team supporting an individual with complex needs
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

- PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression)
- Mental Health Awareness
- Autism Training
- Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training (Learning Disability and Autism)
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
