Introduction
Care Assistant – We are looking for a caring and committed Care Assistant to join our team. In this work you will be supporting people in care homes and home care settings to a high standard guaranteeing their well-being, safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will be organised, have strong communication skills and a real desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives. Experience in care contexts is a benefit but not needed as complete training will be given. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive atmosphere, developing your talents further.

Responsibilities
Helping residents/clients with daily tasks such as personal care, mobility and medication prompting
Supporting people with their personalised care plans to meet their needs
Providing companionship and emotional support to improve the quality of their lives
Using IT technology for record keeping of care delivered
Communicate effectively with team members, residents and family members to enable seamless care delivery
Help with light cleaning, meal prep and other housework as needed
Always follow health and safety procedures to provide a safe atmosphere for everybody
Shift pattern is 7.30am to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 9.30pm and nite shift is 9.30pm to 7.30am
We work on a two week cycle, the candidate should be flexible and prepared to work alternative weekends as well as other hours as and when required during sickness and holiday absences.
Previous experience in a care facility or home care desired but not essential, complete training will be given to appropriate applicants
Excellent grasp of the English language (spoken and written) for successful communication
Basic computer skills to maintain accurate data and update care plans.
Excellent communication abilities to work empathetically with clients and team members
Ability to operate independently and as a team in a fast-paced setting
