What you will do:

  • Prevent offending by providing an effective social work and youth offending service to children and their carers in alignment with the YJS annual Youth Justice Plan.
  • Develop and manage the implementation and operation of Referral Orders and Community Referral Order panels, ensuring consistency in policy, practice, and procedure.
  • Coordinate and advise panels in drafting appropriate contracts with children sentenced to Referral Orders.
  • Collaborate with YOT staff and partner agencies to implement and monitor work material relevant to Referral Order contracts.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support community panel members and volunteers for various Youth Offending Service (YOS) initiatives.
  • Create and execute a plan for volunteer and community involvement, including reparation, providing necessary support to volunteers.
  • Ensure practices comply with agency policy and National Standards for Referral Orders administration.
  • Contribute to YOS restorative justice processes and act as a representative in Youth Offender Panel Meetings.
