About the Role

Our client, a dedicated charity organization focused on providing essential social services in East London , is seeking an organized and proactive Project Coordinator . This role is integral to the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of various community support projects. You will work closely with program managers, beneficiaries, and community partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve their intended impact. The ideal candidate is passionate about social welfare, possesses strong organizational skills, and is adept at managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment within the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and development of project proposals and timelines.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring timely execution of tasks and deliverables.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including beneficiaries, community partners, and internal staff.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or challenges, and implement solutions.
  • Maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and financial records.
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings and workshops.
  • Support the procurement of project supplies and resources.
  • Contribute to project evaluation and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Understanding of the social issues affecting the East London community.
