HGV Driver / Street Cleansing Operative

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week: 2pm – 10.30pm ( with half an hour unpaid break)

Days: Monday – Friday

Duration: Temporary ongoing

Duties:

• Safe operation of plant including left-hand drive road sweepers, working to planned routes and schedules.
• Vehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects.
• Road sweeping, litter picking and removal of debris.
• Adherence to health and safety and highways regulations.
• Emptying public rubbish bins including dog waste.
• Weed removal, clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste.
• gum and graffiti removal

Experience:

• Must have full clean HGV / Category C driver’s license and a good awareness of health and safety.
• Must be physically fit due to nature of duties.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team and on own initiative.

Salary: £13.85 per hour worked 2pm – 10.30pm, £18.42 per hour worked 6.30pm – 10.30pm
