Overview
In this Finance Analyst role, you will support the strategic finance function by handling investment analysis, development appraisals, portfolio valuations and asset management reporting. You will report to the Associate Director and help shape the setup of investment and valuations capabilities as the business grows. The role is hands-on, analytics-driven and requires strong financial modelling within a real estate context. This position is based in London, with five days in the office, offering visibility to senior decision-makers and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain development appraisal models across multiple projects, coordinating with other departments to ensure data accuracy
- Track live development costs against monthly budgets and report on ROI through project lifecycles
- Support the transition from self-funded developments to third-party development finance
- Update investment and stabilised appraisal models using market and operational data for assumptions
- Produce quarterly portfolio valuations and analyze market rents, yields and asset performance across asset classes
- Utilize the asset management model, KPIs and dashboards to report portfolio performance
- Prepare asset memorandums for lenders, new acquisitions and quarterly reporting
- Maintain utilities benchmarking and forecasting model with the Senior Management Accountant
- Liaise with agents, advisers and internal teams to provide ad hoc analysis across the business
Key requirements
- Development appraisal experience
- Experience in real estate, asset management, investment, or construction/development
- Strong Excel skills and solid understanding of financial models (review, update, interpret)
- Analytical, detail-focused and a clear communicator, comfortable with senior stakeholders and external partners
