Managing Director

Overview

As Managing Director you will own the P&L and steer growth and performance for a service-led business. You will shape commercial strategy, operations, finance, and organisational development, aligning with the Board to deliver the business plan. You will accelerate growth, deepen customer relationships and maintain market-leading service levels. This high-visibility role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring leadership across the organisation from the West Midlands HQ.

Key requirements

• Proven commercial leader with experience driving growth and improving performance in a service-led environment
• Strong track record of P&L ownership, strategic execution and operational leadership
• Ability to translate commercial opportunities into sustainable results
• Comfort with both strategic and hands-on leadership
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
• Customer-centric approach and focus on continuous improvement
• Desirable: experience in fire protection, security or wider technical services sectors or similar service-led businesses with operational complexity
• Willingness to travel within the UK; 2-3 days per week in West Midlands HQ
