Senior Underwriter / Title & Legal Indemnities

Overview

In this role you will underwrite commercial title and legal indemnity risks across European real estate and corporate transactions. You will assess title reports, due diligence, and known defects, structure and negotiate cover, and draft bespoke wordings. You’ll collaborate with brokers, real estate counsel, investors and lenders, expanding your network across European jurisdictions while contributing to new product development. This is a high-ownership, commercial role with a focus on cross-border deals and innovative product design within a growing insurer.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial title and legal indemnity risks across European real estate and corporate transactions
• Assess title reports, due diligence, and known defects
• Structure and negotiate cover and draft bespoke wordings
• Collaborate with brokers, real estate counsel, investors and lenders
• Build networks across key European jurisdictions
• Contribute to new product development and enhancement of existing offerings

Key requirements

• Experience as an Underwriter or Broker in title, legal indemnity or transactional risk markets
• Strong knowledge of commercial acquisitions, financing, or portfolio transactions
• Ability to assess title reports and due diligence and draft wordings
