Overview
In this role you oversee technical delivery for lighting projects, guiding equipment choices and on-site execution to meet Creative Technology standards. You collaborate with Projects and Account Managers to craft robust technical solutions while maintaining broad equipment knowledge. You will manage multiple projects, mentor staff, produce pre-production and on-site documentation, and provide remote support when needed. A key focus is delivering high-quality results through leadership, hands-on problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Assess and select equipment and systems to meet project requirements
- Lead project prep to ensure high standards and identify delivery improvements
- Provide ad-hoc training for engineers and technicians
- Support Rental Team with equipment alternatives or sourcing options
- Coordinate on-site delivery and assign on-site resources
- Mentor and coach colleagues; share feedback on delivery processes
- Contribute to best use of equipment, services, and staff for future projects
- Prepare and pass on project documentation (drawings, plots, schematics, patch/cable schedules, handover docs, debriefs) for smooth pre-production and delivery
- Act as Head of Department on site when required, overseeing technical teams and QC of projects
- Travel as needed within the UK and Worldwide
- Develop relationships with freelancers and suppliers
- Complete required training and support ISO audits if applicable
- Ensure safe, neat, and efficient workspaces and prep areas

- Strong technical knowledge across lighting equipment and related systems
- Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
- High attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Experience leading technical teams on site (preferred)
- Ability to document systems and provide remote support when needed
