Overview

In this Senior Credit Controller role, you will own credit control activities for your region and lead a small team to improve collections performance. You’ll partner with internal teams, agents and senior stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service and fair, compliant outcomes. You’ll drive regional performance, share best practices, and guide colleagues toward continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Contact arrears cases at regular intervals, communicating contractual obligations and available options; challenge late payments
  • Drive regional performance by identifying improvement opportunities and supporting effective collection strategies
  • Provide training and feedback to junior and new credit controllers
  • Issue legal notices in line with legislation and procedures
  • Champion regulatory and best practice guidelines within the region
  • Ensure achievement of individual and regional financial targets
  • Investigate complaints to determine root causes and resolve to a satisfactory standard
  • Resolve complex customer queries within appropriate timescales while maintaining high service levels
  • Maintain impeccable customer service and balance commercial objectives with professionalism and empathy
  • Act as regional escalation point and build cross‑departmental rapport
  • Lead by example and uphold company values in all activities
  • Support ad‑hoc credit control functions for other departments
