Overview
As a Product Developer in Greencore’s Boston innovation team, you will develop new and modify existing recipes to meet briefs, cost targets, and nutritional requirements. You will benchmark offerings to gauge market potential and drive scalable, repeatable products across fresh produce. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to vet ingredients, manage documentation, and support launches from concept to process handover. Responsibilities
- Develop new and existing recipes into commercially viable products with cost, weight, and nutritional alignment
- Input and review recipes on the management system to ensure accuracy against cost targets
- Assess new raw ingredients from technical and operational perspectives to enable innovation
- Complete and review feasibility and submission documentation for internal and external sharing
- Run feasibility processes with commercial, operations, technical and purchasing teams to ensure repeatability and scalability
- Compile product costing data and adapt recipes to meet brief targets within brand standards
- Present benchmarking and new products to internal and customer stakeholders to secure approvals
- Follow project timelines and escalate issues to prevent delays in product acceptance and launch
- Support scale-up production trials to align kitchen and production quality
- Provide leadership to keep the team safe, engaged, and performing at their potential
Key requirements
- Proven experience in food product development
- Analytical with strong costings capabilities
- Proficient from concept to launch in product development
- Strong track record of validating products and producing quality documentation
- Confident presenter to multiple stakeholders and customers
- Experience in people management
