Senior Mobile Engineer – Grafana Ops – IRM | UK | Remote

Overview

In this role you will design, build, and operate Grafana’s mobile app within the IRM squad, ensuring reliability and performance for a global customer base. You’ll influence the roadmap, deliver cross-functional features, and own on-call responsibility, while collaborating in a remote, open-source–driven culture. You’ll also deepen your understanding of our cloud product and large distributed systems to improve incident response and observability workflows. This is a hands-on, impact-focused opportunity in a fast-growing, global company.

Responsibilities

• Influence roadmap and align with team career goals
• Deliver new features and iterate based on results
• Drive end-to-end projects from ideation to customer rollout
• Contribute to open-source projects beyond your squad scope
• Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana’s mobile app (reliability, performance, availability)
• Participate in on-call rotations and own the running application
• Mentor teammates and participate in design discussions
• Learn cloud product details and the codebase of a large distributed system

Key requirements

• Native mobile platform experience (Android or iOS)
• Production Flutter app development with state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable code architecture
• Experience taking mobile features from idea to release, including requirements, solution exploration, testing, CI/CD, and app store updates
• Comfort integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and cloud services
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, performant code suitable for other engineers
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a remote, collaborative environment
