Lead Technical Consultant (Direct Liquid Cooling)

Overview

In this role you will lead DLC opportunities from pre-sales through pilot, test, build and production within the Hatfield Integration Centre. You’ll guide customer discussions, shape scalable DLC solutions, and work with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful service delivery. The role is highly visible and customer-facing, influencing design, validation and deployment of advanced data centre solutions. You’ll collaborate across sales, customers, and partners to turn complex requirements into repeatable delivery processes and value.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for Direct Liquid Cooling opportunities across pre-sales to production
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and provide technical consultancy
• Support Sales by demonstrating DLC capabilities and value
• Coordinate with vendors (e.g., Vertiv) and major infrastructure partners on compatibility and requirements
• Lead workshops and technical discussions with customers, partners and internal stakeholders
• Translate complex requirements into practical configuration guidance and repeatable delivery processes
• Bridge customers, vendors, project teams, technical specialists and delivery teams
• Ensure services can be onboarded into operational environments at scale
• Provide third-level technical leadership and support for complex solution challenges
• Capture and communicate emerging technologies and best practices across the organization

Key requirements

• Extensive practical experience with Direct Liquid Cooling technologies
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, power, cooling)
• Experience working with customers in technical consulting, solution architecture or pre-sales
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value propositions and operational solutions
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across vendors, customers, sales and delivery functions
• Strong workshop facilitation, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of service onboarding, operational readiness and transitioning solutions into delivery
• Excellent communication with ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders
• Passion for emerging technologies and continuous improvement
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Experience supporting high-density compute, AI infrastructure or advanced data centre deployments
• Knowledge of configuration services, integration centres or large-scale deployment operations
