Director, Strategy & Operations – CEO Office

Overview

In this role within the CEO Office, you partner with Airwallex’s leadership to shape global strategy and drive critical initiatives. You will navigate ambiguity to turn ideas into measurable outcomes across scaling, international expansion, regulatory infrastructure, operating models, and AI-driven transformation. You’ll work across functions to accelerate execution and align priorities during rapid growth. This role offers exposure to senior leadership and high-impact projects at a fintech scale.

Responsibilities

• Scale new products and business lines globally
• Lead international expansion and market entry strategy
• Drive regulatory and banking infrastructure initiatives
• Design organisational effectiveness and operating models
• Accelerate commercial performance and go-to-market execution
• Evaluate M&A opportunities and oversee post-merger integration
• Lead AI-enabled operational transformation initiatives
• Coordinate cross-functional strategic programs aligned to company priorities

Key requirements

• Proven experience in top-tier consulting, high-growth technology companies, investing, strategic finance, or similar high-performance environments
• Track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes
• Exceptional problem-solving and structured thinking abilities
• Strong executive communication skills with ability to synthesize complex topics clearly
• Ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with high ownership and accountability
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing across seniority levels and functions
• High commercial judgment and operational pragmatism
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
