Overview

In this remote-first Security Architect role, you lead security architecture across defence-focused programmes, ensuring secure-by-design across the full delivery lifecycle. You will collaborate with solution architects, engineers and stakeholders to embed security throughout concept to production. You guide transitions from research and MVPs to production-ready solutions and provide technical leadership on large-scale programmes and bids. This role offers impact on national security projects and cross-functional teams within a consultancy setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture activities across complex client engagements
• Apply secure-by-design principles throughout solution development and delivery
• Support transition of concepts, research initiatives and MVPs into production-ready solutions
• Provide technical leadership on large-scale programmes and bids
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business and security requirements
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and engineering teams to deliver secure outcomes
• Contribute to security strategy, governance and architecture best practices
• Support defence and national security-focused projects

Key requirements

• 5-10+ years’ experience in Security Architecture or related cyber security roles
• Strong understanding of security architecture frameworks and principles
• Experience applying Secure by Design (SbD) methodologies
• Background working within defence, government or highly regulated environments
• Experience supporting programmes from design through to operational delivery
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing consultancy skills
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership
• Eligibility to hold or maintain SC Clearance; Active SC clearance is highly desirable
