Overview

In this role, you will lead end-to-end delivery and governance of Tesco’s People Data portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regulatory standards. You will navigate a complex, multi‑programme landscape to drive clear data ownership and trusted, scalable data products. You’ll partner with business and technology teams to resolve ambiguity, shape delivery approach, and ensure audit-ready data foundations that support regulatory compliance and strategic decisions. This is a leadership position with a strong emphasis on governance, impact, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory reporting (e.g., CSRD)
  • Workforce insights (Headcount, DE&I, Absence, Compliance)
  • Data products such as dashboards, analytics and forecasting
  • Foundational capabilities including data quality, governance, access controls and ingestion frameworks
  • Lead and coordinate complex programmes across multiple workstreams and geographies
  • Line manage a team and develop TPM talent
  • Establish or improve delivery methodology for programme goals
  • Initiate and shape programmes with ambiguous scope
  • Create and track programme and technical implementation plans
  • Provide expert programme delivery guidance and mentoring
  • Balance trade-offs in software delivery to achieve best value
  • Forecast risks, manage issues, and escalate where needed

Key requirements

  • Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional data or platform technology programmes across multiple teams/geographies
  • Strong experience in compliance, regulatory, reporting or data/analytics programmes
  • Ability to build credible relationships and influence senior leadership
  • Experience in people management and team development
  • Strong project, stakeholder and programme management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, translating technical complexity into business outcomes
