Overview
In this role you maintain and improve machinery in the radiators production area for power generation, supporting the Plant Engineering/Maintenance team. You will diagnose and fix issues to minimise downtime and carry out planned maintenance. You’ll work on electrical and mechanical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold safety and reliability. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on ensuring continuous production and equipment health. The opportunity combines technical breadth with impact on plant performance and safety culture.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, service and repair all manufacturing machinery
- Inspect systems to ensure optimal function and troubleshoot issues
- Minimise production downtime through proactive maintenance
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) when required
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping
- Follow health and safety and manual handling procedures
Key requirements
- Apprentice trained, electrically qualified
- Ability to read engineering diagrams/drawings and control circuits/schematics
- Experience with DC/AC drives, electrical hoists, and 3 phase motors
- Experience with safety and light circuits, inverters, PLC systems, relays, and speed control
- Experience with sensors
- Hydraulic and pneumatic control experience is advantageous
- Mechanical understanding of gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatics is advantageous
- Ability to prioritise and plan effectively, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to follow processes, especially health and safety/manual handling
