Risk Manager

Overview

In this role you will support risk management across complex energy-focused construction programmes. You will work within a project team to implement risk frameworks, drive performance, and coach colleagues while maintaining strong client relationships. You will facilitate risk workshops, run quantitative risk analyses, and ensure risk mitigation actions are owned and tracked. The role contributes to delivering safe, efficient, low-carbon projects at pace and supports the broader net zero transition. Responsibilities

• Support risk management performance and implementation of risk frameworks
• Drive team performance, delivery and coaching
• Build professional relationships with clients and client representatives
• Advise project teams on risk processes and escalation of risks
• Facilitate risk workshops and identify opportunities to mitigate risk exposure
• Collaborate with the PMO/Planning to integrate risk with project controls
• Ensure risk action plans have owners and are monitored in project plans
• Support monthly risk reporting to client and project team
• Ensure activities comply with Mace Control Centre, client requirements, and legislation
• Support junior risk managers and project staff as required
• Contribute to net zero carbon transition and manage associated emissions reductions

Key requirements

• Experience on complex construction projects
• Experience delivering risk management/assurance frameworks or strategies
• Working knowledge of risk tools and software (e.g., Active Risk Manager, Risk Hive, Primavera Risk Analyser, Primavera P6)
• Effective communication and engagement skills

• Creating and delivering persuasive client presentations
