Process Engineer

Overview

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy automated vision systems for defect detection, object recognition, robot guidance, and dimensional measurement in high-volume manufacturing
• Program and integrate system components (cameras, lenses, lighting) and configure software for deep learning and OCR/OCV tasks
• Test, validate, and optimize system performance with data-driven improvements to reduce inference time
• Collaborate with quality assurance, operations, and mechanical/electrical teams to integrate vision into broader automation platforms
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain existing vision systems to ensure continuous operation
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including validation protocols and user manuals

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering (or Master)
• Proficiency in VB.NET, Python, and C#; knowledge of C++ preferred
• Strong computer vision expertise (image processing, feature extraction, object detection)
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (Cognex DeepLearning; PyTorch/TensorFlow)
• Knowledge of OCR/OCV and Data Matrix Code
• Analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
• Experience with MSAs and QDAS software preferred
• Willingness to relocate to Slovakia after two years (UK assignment first)
